Kind of won this by accident for $29 shipped. Looked decent to me but I am not a Morgan guy really. What grade would you give her? 861706BC-DE70-4FD8-BC05-93A0161544CA.jpeg 32C8E241-FCFA-4ECB-926F-0845196C676B.jpeg

    AU details, cleaned, I think.

The surfaces are definitely altered in some way, likely cleaning as @jeffB stated. This was done awhile ago and now has started to retone around the devices. It appears to have a fair bit of luster left so I would put it at around AU-55 details.

With Morgan’s it’s hard to tell what’s real
and what’s not. the fakes have gotten really good as of late.

Reverse rim dings, scratches on both sides, cleaned. High AU, I've seen worse in MS quality, nice coin. All Morgans are worthy and collectable, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.

I'll go with AU, cleaned, dipped as well, but not highAU

not being a Morgan guy I appreciate the replies. I thought AU sharpness but i really can't see any hairlines done by cleaning attempts. Dipped possibly.

If you got that for $29 shipped, I think you got a good deal. If it were mine, I would rotate it with my other pocket pieces. JMHO

Probably a non issue, but I rather think this coin had fairly dark toning and was dipped. Some darkness remains in the crevices where the toning was the thickest.

For $29.00 you got a great deal and then it’s shipped at no extra charge. A junk Morgan sells for more than that today so don’t ve concerned about the grade.

    I agree. $29 isn't bad. You did fine. thumb.gif
