1982 2.5

    I came across this 1982 penny it weighs 2.5 it is a ddo doubling on the L in liberty It’s in excellent condition please tell me my options Iam a greenhorn

    I see no doubling here.

    It's what known as Die Deterioration doubling.
    Considered worthless doubling. It is not related to a true Doubled Die variety.
    It is also a very common issue on copper plated zinc cents. Since you provided the weight then yours is an example of deterioration doubling on a copper plated zinc
    Cent.

    Copper-plated zinc small date. Except for the spot/stain on the date it looks in good shape, probably worth putting into a flip.

    A good "hole filler" if you have a folder or put in a flip as recommended.
