Oh, for common sense! The 1933 Double Eagle didn't even hit $20 million. Anybody can write a dumb article, but what I dislike is meeting people who actually believe the nonsense. I was stopped at a yard-sale about six years ago where a lady was trying to sell coins after she "looked them up online." She had some decent stuff, but marked at prices that were out of this world (some foreign coins from the 20th century; a bit of silver). When I tried telling her a more reasonable price, she all but called me a swindler. Last year I was looking at buying a large denomination German Mark note from post WWI at an antique store. There was no price on it, so the fellow asked me what I would offer. I looked up what they sold for on eBay (sold, not selling) and offered him a fair price. He looked at me and said, "That is too cheap. You need to add antique value." Antique value? I told him I'd just buy it on eBay without the antique value added (duh).

"Well actually" there could be a remnant of Taylor Swift's finger print on it somewhere, obscured by some light reflections but much better in hand.

Well at least cats bury their cookies. My only dog was an Afghan hound we adopted. She was a lost unclaimed wonderful dog that passed from pancreatic cancer after 12 years. My best memory was when I took her on a truck ride and she had to sit in the bucket seat with seat belt. She loved it. One dark night a police car turned on his red light behind me and I pulled over and rolled down the window. He went to her side and she licked him and he almost died of laughter, He thought she was a lady ( a blond) that had grab some beer and ran and Amy , the dog turn to him and licked him on the face and he about died from laughing. I had to promise not to tell any but that was 40 years ago. Jim

I use to save every bicentennial quarter I got in change. At one point I had four rolls.

I guarantee some semblance of AI wrote that copy. There are all sorts of telltale signs.

It's terrible even for AI, but then again it can only write as good as the prompts you give it. I've used a program built on chatGBT for writing and it does a scarily good job when given the proper prompts. This crap was just written to attract clicks - 100% garbage site made solely for advertising revenue. I run 3 websites and I hate that sites like these get any attention, garbage.

My aunt was treasurer of a large boiler manufacturing company. Sometime in the early 50's she cleaned out the vault. There was a 100,000 Mark note in there. It was from a German company as deposit on a boiler. Then the war broke out and it was worth nothing. She gave it to me. It was still worth nothing, but it was collectable.
