@TheMont Your coin has raised, round pimples and incuse round holes. NOT GOOD...Is the edge smooth and rounded? I'm 100% counterfeit but remember, I'm not qualified at all to give an opinion. PS Excellent photos.
we're just going to go in circles here aren't we. i apologize for my previous post, i didn't know you were a kid...my tone was inappropriate. listen sport, i'm sure you're a bright young man, but it doesn't make you seem smarter to mock people, it makes you seem like a person that isn't very nice. and if people think you're not very nice, they aren't going to listen to you. then it doesn't matter if you're smart or not, you're going to transfer the same amount of knowledge as someone who doesn't talk at all. communicating to people that aren't listening and not talking have the same effect in transferring information between people. i wish you the best. thanks, i didn't know there was an ignore button.
@chrsmat71 Thanks and ditto to you. I hope when I grow up and get older to become like the gentleman you already are.
Press on the person's name under their avatar. Go to the Profile Page, On the Line that has their name, go to the right and see the "IGNORE" in blue.
I'm not sure what has happened to CT Ancients here of late, but with the rude and snide remarks it makes me not want to post. With little exception, this has been a wonderful place to share my coins and to see what others have. Lately, I've mainly just watched without making comments because the atmosphere seems to have changed. I live by the rule that I would not comment on line what I could not or would not say face to face. It seems some here now hide behind the anonymity of the internet. For now, I will keep watching.
Hey, thanks, that's cool. I just tried it using your name and instructions and saw the "Ignore." I don't ignore anyone on CT as I find that even the troll's and uninformed, long-time numismatists (not the beginners) are entertaining and have something to say.
Great rule @Bing. That's exactly the way I look at it too. In fact, I'll bet one day (after you and I are dead) each thread on the forums will have live feeds of each poster in tiny inserts so we can all disagree face to face. They won't be able to post in their under pants either.
We ought not to let a post/poster bother us or keep us from posting. Stay focused on the coins! Since filing has come up I would like to show this coin, which has been filed Magentius, AD 350-353 AE, 23mm, 4.72g; 12h Obv.: [DN MAGEN]-TIVS PF A[VG] Rev.: [SAL]VS DD NN A[VG ET CAAES]; Large Chi-Rho with A to left, W right This coin is nearly sharp at the filed edge.
Yeah, I really don't know whats going on here either. When I stopped posting lasting year it was really chaotic in this section. A lot of rude remarks and members been mean to each other. I'm starting to get that feeling again, though my knowledge of ancients is not that great anyway so I can't add much details for others. I might start lurking again, but I will still give likes.
He folks, if you are down... COIN-ON! Use your IGNORE button if needed, and ignore the Troll. It is adding no value in my book. It is just trying to get a rise out of everyone. 99.9% of everyone else has been great with some cool stuff being posted! Everyone else: Thanks for contributing and hang in there!
Indeed! I just availed myself of the ignore button and what a glorious button it is! It's better than a lava lamp for immediately improving the mood. Where can I get an ignore button for people in real life??
