I want to post a picture and related text, but my image is too large of a file. Can somebody help please?
Yes, and it weighs in at 2.628g according to my scale. It may not be vastly underweight, but enough so for a 1971 that I believe it was struck on a rolled-thin planchet. I'm trying to crop the image in hopes that it will reduce the size of the file. Apparently, uploading images directly from my phone's camera is not much of an option! I'll post it on the scale as soon as I figure out how to get it sized accordingly.
I have a Samsung, so if that's what I'm thinking it is, I'll play around with some settings once I get home from work today and see if that works. If not, is it permissible to post an imgur link on here for my coin images?
These things are no big deal to no one. You weighed it, that’s good enough, we don’t need no pictures.
Just a piece of advice. With any questions due to any inquiry of a coin, please show photos of obverse and reverse of your coin. Cropped well and clear photos. But this does not mean you will get the answer you are looking for. I’m far from and pro but I do try to advise New Members from my first experiences. Welcome to CT.
Thank you for the advice! Can you happen to see my photos now that I've tried reducing the file size?
Yes but you can go into edit and hit full image then update but up to you. Tapping on the photos does enlarge it.
It wouldn't accept my full-sized images, and that was just on the 12MP camera. I have a 108MP option, but there's no chance that would upload if it declined my 12's. Either way, thank you for getting back to me! I might start some imgur albums solely to share on here.
It still enlarges it by tapping on it. Very welcome. You keep searching and trying and post what you like. Just try to get as close of a shot you can do pros can tell you yay or nay. But again, if you like it you put in your album. Welcome to CT!
Using your original weighing, being that much less should be noticeable. A common problem for such difference is that the Standardized weight provided with most measuring device is not used as comparison. Many just use it out of the box with no calibration and is sure to measure and adjust it . Even shipping through the mail can throw off the accuracy. Just verify the weighing device whenever you get an oddity. IMO, Jim
