Looks like a successful attribution to me. Maybe time to aply a little "push" to get the V22/V88 conflict resolved once and for all. You have the date doubling as well, right? The V22 detail page is a bit misleading to me - sure looks like the two MM detail images presented are different mint marks, and the shorter, squatter version appears on both V22 and V88's page. Part of the problem with VAMworld being a wiki where anyone can post images.
Already on it brother. Brian is bringing his v22 to Anaheim and we'll compare and probably send both to Leroy. Might have the 88/22 thing sorted out soon
Just seeing what I can do with the wife's phone. What is a good size to post? If I do full image they are huge.
Nope--I think it is just toning accumulation around the date--doesn't look double die to me. Beautiful coin just the way it is!!!
I dont have any really close up, close up's (lol) but I am so far, convinced I may have an 1878 S VAM 58 Long Nock. I may send it in to PCGS this week, but after they just Graded my prized possession an "AU Details (82 - Filed Rims) Which is complete B.S. im not sure!
Not a long nock. The long nock nub literally looks like a long sausage nipple at the rear end of the arrow shaft. It's quite distinctive
