It looks like it but I'm horrible at Doubled dies buddy p a d d y he's the best I know one thing you do in the right thing going to wexler's I used to do that too8
And this also goes to @Twyzm There are doubled die varieties that are so minor that to many collectors they don't make any sense at all to find them. They are of no value. Unless they look like the following well known and huge Doubled Die varieties.. you shouldn't be wasting our time! 1955 1969 S 1972 1995 Those are the only doubled die varieties you should be looking for and nothing else IMHO!
Piece of advice for the New Year guys! I’m no pro and never will be. When I first joined CT, I have learned, more or less, lol, but many coins will have some flaws but majority is from the wear and tear called post mint damage. Meaning after it has left the mint. Sure there are beautiful cents out there and I do post because I like them. Up to you what you all want to post of course but just try to read up on how mint errors happen! Good luck and welcome to CT! Some fun finds to for me but to serious collectors, not so much but that’s ok!
Apologies @paddyman98. I have been collecting coins for the past 3 years. I have tried and tried to get and understand varieties, especially DDO's. I have a plugable coin microscope, I have 2 light sources coming in at 10 and 2 with the light diffused with bubble wrap and even have an 8x Eschenbach loop. I'm still learning, and constantly consulting sites like Variety Vista and PCGS. I have read doubledie.com and continue to research. I don't know if it's my eyes, or what, but with the help of this forum, I want to learn and understand varieties so I can spot the real ones and dump the fake ones. I just need help until it clicks. Please forgive the time wasting and bear with me. There should be fewer time wasters and more substance coming, especially after the education experience I'm expecting from all of the coin experts here Good Lord Willing.
@Twyzm Have you ever been to the Doubled Die.com website. There's plenty of information there. Here is the link to the Worthless doubling section https://doubleddie.com/144801.html
You just keep reading and looking carefully. Varietyvista.com is a great site to look at different varieties out there. Also The Red Book. I do not have the 2024 yet… so if you order one, try that one. It’s helped me. Good luck and keep trying. We all go at our own pace and collect what you like. Some collect, some search, some but, some just likes Lincolns like I do lol. Welcome to CT!
