I consider myself new to the hobby still but I am gaining knowledge and extending my collection. The coin pictured is in a silent auction ending in about a week. My LCS has a silent auction every two weeks. A wall has a bunch of coins up for auction and you just simply put your customers number and high bid. I know it may be hard to "grade" a coin by a picture but I would still like opinions from you folks more experienced than myself. I am really interested in this coin but need some help as to the value. I wish the $600 price on the coin wasn't there so that wouldn't affect people's opinions. Please tell me what you think it's worth not just "whatever someone is willing to pay for it".

Is there any chance that you have a photo of both the obverse and reverse?
It is hard to judge a coin without a good photo of each side. :)

No I do not. However I might be able to go by there this coming week and get more pics.

I am going to make my analysis with just your one picture then.
First things first the coin appears to have been cleaned, this was likely done a good while ago but it is still visible with many hairlines. The coin has since partially retoned along the edges, likely because of the type of holder that it was stored in.
I would grade the coin at about XF-40, Cleaned.
Comparable coins are listed on eBay for about $200, but keep in mind that is their asking price. If you are buying it for yourself, I would say that you cant lose at $160.

Here is an example of a comparable coin listed on eBay.

    That's a perfect coin for a Dansco 7070

It’s a nice looking coin but I think it was cleaned a long time ago. I doubt I’d pay the price that’s on the coin but I’m only looking at a photo of the obverse.

Actually that's a "bid board" and nothing keeps you from putting in a $200 bid

As of yesterday there was only one bid and it was for $100. I just wanted to hear from experts on here as to know what I should be willing to bid on the coin. I realized that is all depending on how much an individual desires to have a coin. I just was trying to guard against overpaying. I appreciate all of the replies.

I would listen to others about an actual grade. But if, as the label says, and it's AU-50, then my current price guide says $700.00. That's not much help but that's all I can offer.

Mmmmm…. One of my favorites. I do love me a seated lady. Add arrows and and rays and that makes her just about perfect….. Like the others, it’s hard to judge from a distant photo but I would have to agree with @Coins4Eli and based on the little I can glean, she does appear cleaned and that absolutely will negatively affect the value. You can pretty much bet that a white AU piece has been tampered with. I wouldn’t part with more than $200.00 for that one.

Just fyi if anyone cares. There were a lot of bids on this coin Saturday at the silent auction with the winning bid at $200. And no it wasn't me.
