1966 clipped planchet

    FYI.. they are called clipped planchets but they are not at any point actually clipped. They are incomplete planchets. What occurred was that your nickel was cut out of the stock sheet to close to a previous cut planchet. That occurs when the stock sheet for some reason doesn't move in to the direction it's going for some reason. Probably a jam.
