Round 1 and Round 8, actually. So nope, there will be no Indian cents in Round 12.

 

It's about time we did the Round 11 drawing. Let me catch up on my duties (I'm at work), and then I'll fire up the random number generator a bit later.

(12) Different Red Brilliant Uncirculated Wheat cents in Littleton plastic.

1950-D, 1950-S, 1951, 1951-D, 1951-S, 1952, 1952-D, 1953, 1953-D, 1956, 1957-D, and 1958-D.

Littleton has conservatively default-graded these to “60”, but they’re clearly better than that- I’d say MS63-MS65 RD quality for most of them.

To enter this round, all you need to do is:

1. Say that you want this lot, and
2. post something else coin-related or cheerful.

Then, sometime in the next 2-4 days (depending on my schedule), we'll do the drawing and that will conclude COINmas 2023.

You may of course say you want it for someone else, if you name that person.

@Jeepfreak81, as a former employee of Littleton, will no doubt find the sight of those little plastic pouches to be familiar.

If you're wondering why there has been so much Littleton product in this giveaway, it's because I bought a largish dealer lot of odds and ends in Littleton plastic a year or two ago. (At wholesale, not at Littleton prices!)

Littleton gets some criticism in the hobby for being rather pricey, but aside from their high markups, I can say that I like everything else about them. They're a very professional company and sell high quality, conservatively graded coins. They also pay good prices when they're buying, and they put out nice catalogs.

A lot of beginning collectors make their first coin buys from Littleton, because they advertise outside the hobby in publications read by the general public. When I was a kid and starting my collection, my mother bought me my first Indian cents from Littleton, in the late 1970s. I used to enjoy their catalogs.
