    I would love to enter.

Don't get your hopes up too high (I've never won anything), but if I do win give to @masterswimmer for his grandson.

    Why didn't I get a dropdown???

Edit: I didn't get a dropdown, but when I put it on the thread it did show up correctly.

It's quirky like that sometimes. Sometimes you'll see the dropdown, sometimes you won't. But usually if you type the @ and no space and then the person's username (capitalized and spelled correctly), the tag to them will show up automatically when your message posts.

I am in for round 11, and if I win, I hope that @paddyman98 would be able to say he would want these sent to him. I don't see him much on the contests, but I know he likes finding things, so....

And for Christmas, I remember having the ornaments be primarily "Mercury Glass" ones, though I don't have any remaining.

I do miss those. I might have some from my childhood days packed away, but haven't used them for years.

Never thought to save the ones I liked the most. Which is sad. I would love to have a few to use to decorate, ones I had as a kid. And another thing I don't see much anymore at Christmas is ribbon candy. That was something we got every Christmas in the mid to late 60s. For a candy bowl and it was even more of a thing for us than candy canes. Times change and we don't realize that it is so we don't make the effort to keep what we like.

Those Christmas ornaments had a slow attrition due to breakage. Every year you loose one or two until there are none left. As I recall they were very fragile.

You are so right about things changing and realizing. I hadn't thought about ribbon candy in years, and when I looked at a photo of it...wow...when did that go away? And why didn't I notice? You just look at it and see Christmas. We always had tins of Christmas candy with them in it. Sigh...

I want those Mercury dimes for @Rushmore !

Though I don't have many of these, I do love the design. When it came out in gold, I just had to acquire one for my collection.

I would like to enter for lot #11 if it is not too late. We have been out of power for the past three days due to the storm and are just now up and running again. Here is a wheat cent I pulled out of my change yesterday.

    I’m in for round 11.
Back when I first started collecting a neighbor gave me a 1943 Mercury! Still have it to this day.

I'm in, I would like a shot at the winged Liberty dimes. I'm all for freedom of thought. Thanks again LordM.

On Thanksgiving Day 1976, while setting the table, I found a 1936 Mercury dime in my step-grandmother’s silverware drawer. That coin began my adventures in numismatics. I was not quite eleven years old. I still have the coin somewhere, and have had a soft spot for Merc dimes ever since.

1936 Mercury dime. First coin in my collection, November 25, 1976.
