    Nice stuff, ‘Swimmer. I like gems and minerals. I bought this Labradorite heart at the Orlando FUN show in January, with the intention of leaving it on my mother’s grave (she liked Labradorite and is buried in Florida).

    My FL trip ended up being detoured so I still haven’t been down to Sarasota to visit her. She’s been gone two years, come the 23rd. She and my stepfather are buried in a veteran’s cemetery where they’d likely remove the grave offerings, though, so maybe I’ll just give the heart to my sister. Mom would understand.

    Rob, I love the labradorite heart and the story as well. Me, personally, I would bring the stone to mom's graveside, place it on her headstone while visiting, and explain your conundrum to her. I'm pretty sure she'll 'tell' you to take it with you and think happy memories about her every time you look at or hold the heart.

    FYI, both of my parents are laid to rest in a Veterans Cemetery in Florida too.

    I know how tough you had it two years ago when you lost your mom. Time to start thinking the happy thoughts reminding you of why you loved her and miss her so much. Good for the soul. It's what she'd want from her boy.

    A fine idea. Not sure when I'll make it down to Sarasota, but we do still have a few living people left there (Ladymarcovan's brother lives in Sarasota).
