View attachment 1592845 View attachment 1592844 Looks like this Lincoln was barely contained by the anvil die. Perhaps something occupying part of the space. My question is would this be considered a broad strike? Thanks: Lou View attachment 1592844 View attachment 1592844
The edge is copper and it weighs 25.4 grams. By type 1 I'm assuming you mean a blank that hasn't gone through the upsetting mill. This appears to have a proto rim but just not seated well in the anvil die. As you can see on the obverse the die is slightly misaligned so the edge is thinner on that portion.
