    As Dylan Thomas wrote;
    Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Or was that Rodney Dangerfield?

    A peaceable and enjoyable holiday season and new year.

    Wow, a true bargain! It isn’t even a decent fake. Beijing must be off of its game.

    I wonder if they all have the same serial numbers? The serial number is unique to each slab.

    Here's the the PCGS cert check result.

    I'm completely unaware this has been going on. Are these fakes? That's NOT good. They'll end up on Ebay sure enough.:muted:

    I checked out the serial number from the listing. Checks out. Will probably never get it period. I've ordered other goods from China and the whole thing is a scam. They count on people not following up by reporting credit card fraud.

    Even large U.S. dealers would be hard pressed to come up with 10, 1893-P dollars in MS-65. If you think someone from China will have 10 genuine examples of this coin in that grade, you are in for a sad awakening.

    I never thought of the fact that they might just take the money and run. The coin they are showing is a counterfeit. The style of the date is wrong, and so is the relief of the eagle on the reverse.

    I checked out their “1907 $20 gold in PCGS MS-65.” They say it is “gold plated tungsten, non magnetic and graded by PCGS.” I was not aware that PCGS certified such items. :bucktooth:

    Wonder how many of these were purchased by families to gift to their coin collecting loved ones at Christmas? Our hobby has been so sullied.

    I did notice that the 9 in the date looks weird. What bothers me is that the serial number checks out. I have experienced overseas junk fraud on another matter, a CDI motherboard for an outboard motor that has been discontinued and not being restocked nor a generic replacement made for it. After waiting for 3 months for it to arrive, numerous excuses of the part being held up in port, I reported the transaction to my credit card company and finally got reimbursed.

    They still haven't quite gotten the font right on their fake slabs, I see.

    I always thought that counterfeiting US currency was illegal. I guess nothing is illeagal anymore, except disagreeing with the .gov

    Kinda hard to enforce US laws in China, as @Barney McRae mentioned.

    Too bad the sites selling that junk can't be blocked so they don't show in the US, but I guess there is no way of doing that short of enacting draconian Internet censorship like they have in... China.
