I wouldn't say for nothing, he has time invested and sounds like a risk taker :p

The OP still doesn’t have this coin in hand do I’m reserving all comments until he does. I’ll admit that the photos look suspect but I’m viewing a picture of a coin on my cell phone. I’m a man with lots of patience so I’ll wait.

Who knows, the sellers reputation may have kept bidders away from a perfectly fine coin, doesn't hurt to hope. Good luck.

My expensive A.K. mistake... I keep it around to remind me to never make that mistake again... even in hand I thought I had beaten the odds....
    NGC said otherwise

Do they at least tell you what was altered?
Maybe send it off to another grading company.

Want it graded? Buy it graded. Feeding the beast serves no one, except the large grading services. Turn around time on submissions how many months? I can't believe so many folks buy into this scheme, scam.......resubmit and otherwise.

That, or it could be sloppy application of some substance used to artificially frost the devices. I say it could be, because I don't know, but without seeing the coin in hand the suspicion is enough to make me not purchase.

nope they don't tell you crap in a case like this....
In the end it was suggested I sent it back for "conservation" after which it "might" be a gradeable coin... then again it might not. I've become very very consurvative when it comes to buying raw morgans... yes, i've beating the game a few times that way but far far to easy to get burned (let's face it by the time it returns from being graded any "return" possibility is long gone...

NGC gave it a cert number.
I'd email them and ask what's up.

I've always said I'm the best grader out there. If it appeals to me that's all that matters.

Someone has to get the coins graded, and "buy into the scheme", or there wouldn't be already graded coins out there for you to buy.

I'm not worried in the least. Wasn't thousands, was 3 C notes. I'll send it back if it was a ruse. It was worth the roll of the dice with the option of return. Glad to have honest opinions here.

There's an old saying, scared money doesn't make money. I'll send it up for a review in the booth here when I get it. :p

That's a shame. Looks like a great coin from your photos. Lack of explanation from them makes me not want to use that grading service. At least ANACs will give it a grade with details.

@Barney McRae have you read the negative feedback that’s been left? You may well be working through eBay to try and get your money back.

And that's fine. If that's the case, they won't risk losing the venue they do business in. If Ebay requires it, they will bend the knee.
