wow look what I found I'm my books ms 68 bright red this must be a first strike looking At photo grade they look like bad bad has to be a top pop should I get it graded
In my opinion, no. Won't be worth the price of grading but I'm not very good at recognizing the differences at the higher end of grading so maybe someone else will have a different answer for you.
go to pcgs price guide there you can compare your coins that's what I do plus I took g the grading school class
The coin shows a ridge ring forming. It is closer to a late die stage than it is a first strike. https://www.error-ref.com/?s=+ridge+ring
@Willysilver in order to grade an MS68, I would need to see pictures from a photo that are perfectly clear, full frame, with no blur at all, good lighting, no shadows and no glare on the coin. You're asking for a grade opinion of top pop from pictures. Grading from pictures, in and of itself, is virtually impossible. Therefore, providing high quality pictures is a definite must have.
I'm sorry sorry I will provide photos but I got none of those 2x2 clear things to send them out in so I don't want to take it out of there then put it back into a flip because I don't want to get my fingers on it or spit on it or something cuz that stuff that zinc gets that black stuff on it no matter what
not this time I also found a 1982 copper lg date ms 65 66 rd with ddo I just haven't posted it yet because it's in flip and I have a bad time with pennies turning brown I've messed up so many
I can see the ridge ring. It is not an early or first strike. It is a mid to late die stage. PS a flip isn't going to stop any corrosion or toning.
That really depends on where you are and the moisture content and temp changes. A flip might help but it is not going to stop anything.
Fla buddy if mine's not first strike then the one online for that Grading Company must be fit strike or 7th strike because you can't even see some of the letters on the back and they gave it a 68 plus
wear vinyl or blue nitril medical gloves You'll still don't want to touch your face, etc as skin oil can still transfer to the gloves and thus the coins.
Believe me I got the worst luck with that everything I touch turns brown all them coins it's so humid it in Florida the minute you take them from one room to another the humidity changes the coins turn brown
yup, easily seen at first glance starting at the "L" in LIBERTY up and around to TRU in TRUST can easily be seen
I can't believe it it's the first doubled die ever found and I've had it for 6 years hey check out the other pictures that I put on there they're way clearer thank you bro
yeah but I do it on purpose ... Zincoln Alka-Seltzer and my 1.558g Zincoln | Coin Talk Not just from walking around the house with them. You may want to research what forms of environmental pollution you may be in (such as if you live next to a powdered egg factory).
that's awesome I'll beat everybody out on them toners I would never submit a tone coin phone coins are a scam PCGS
