Where can I find the $1 Presidential coins? Besides banks... I'd love to start another collection for my each of my children.. & do you think it be expensive? As in each coin costing more than fv.

Your local coin shop. Yes, they would be more than face value if not from a bank.

Have either of you ordered from mintproducts.com? If so, do you recommend ordering from there?

I get mine [though circulated] at the rail station in our city...I put in a $20 and get 20 presidential and Saqs back when I cancel and ask for change back.

I've ordered from them. They're sometimes slow with the shipping but they have never disappointed me with the quality of their products.

Starting in 2012, they were not issued for circulation. So, the last half of the series is much lower mintage than the first half and would have to be purchased from coin dealers. Or you may be able to find a few in circulation since collectors like myself often spend the culls from the collector only issues.

What coins would you get if you purchased this bag from the mint? Would they all be one year and one President? Or would it be a mix of all available circulating Presidential coinage? No NIFC? I'd want it just for the mint bag.

Circulating Dollar Coins: Native American and Presidential $1 Coins

To purchase Native American and Presidential $1 Coins through the Circulating Bulk Purchase Program, customers (individuals or businesses) must:

    • purchase the minimum of one bulk bag, which contains 140,000 coins
    • pay for the coins at face value ($140,000) plus a processing fee, which equals 8.5% percent of total order value ($11,900 per bag)
    • pay in full and in advance via electronic funds transfer to the United States Mint (instructions are provided after the order is entered and the inventory is confirmed)
    • assume all shipping costs and arrange pick up to receive coins at the dock of United States Mint facilities in Philadelphia or Denver for coins manufactured in Philadelphia or Denver, respectively

By all means, not rare. I've got rolls of these blasted things, and they're downright heavy in the aggregate. I can barely lift their danged 'housing'. Abandon ye all hope who enter here...........

Wow!! What a fantastic deal this is! I'm surprised people aren't lining up for the opportunity to drop an extra $12k on coins so few want to use. Oy...
