    I like bears a lot but I also like turtles, and I've tried to gather as many turtle coins as I could. Here's what I have so far. 1942 s fiji 6 pence.jpg 1972 seychelles 5 rupees.jpg 1974 tonga 1 senti.jpg 1976 seychelles 10 rupees.jpg 1976 tuvalu 1 dollar.jpg

Actually no, so I appreciate the suggestion. I do have a list of coins I found in Krause or in eBay searches that I haven't been able to find yet. I'll have to add some of these to it.

And there's always the tokens and medals.

Wow, that is a sweet bale of hatchlings you have there, my coin-friend ...

Ummm, how 'bout a 2500 year old turtle? ... can it hang-out with your kids?

Here is a souvenir cent I found metal detecting that came from the NYC Aquarium. You can still see a trace of the word LIBERTY, IN GOD, the date and Lincolns jacket.

Dude, you put a lot of other collectors to shame with just how serious you are with your type collecting!

    Thanks for sharing!

I know I always come off sounding like a smart alek with my posts, but does a "turtle boat" count?

Cool, never realized turtles were so popular in coinage. I just thought it was an ancient thing. (And a U.S. Mint thing)

Not for my collection but I'll give you an honorable mention. I often see these when I do a search for turtle coins on eBay.

Here is my medal of Mexico "National Commission of Natural Protected Areas", you can see the turtle at center, it's one of the most beautiful medals that I have Medalla México.jpg
