There are over dates for that year coin from both mints. 42/41. I don't see a one.

    Is it a D mint?

Never mind. I was thinking 42/1-D but the overdate is on the opposite side.

Keep in mind, part of the reason for the 1942/41's from both mints is the location of the 4 had to be changed as well as the final digit, to adjust for the need of the 2 for more horizontal space. So, any overstrike on the 4 includes sideways offset, disqualifying this coin from that diagnosis.

    1) take it out of the holder
    2) re-take picture, it will be clearer.

For all I know, it could be a spot on the coin, but it is not an overdate.

Could also be a die chip below the base of the 4.
