The blood counterstamp,Little Bighorn comes to mind since it literally was a massacre.Love the war nickel varieties.
Beautiful coins! Congrats on the grades, especially the 70s! Does anyone know anything about the "Blood" counterstamp? I am not super familiar with counterstamps. Is it a well-known mark? I'd have to assume it was for ANACS to not grade the host coin as details. Also do you know anything about the 1921 High Relief Peace Dollar and who made it? Great group of interesting coins.
Great picks @dwhiz I like them all, but I really like George Washington praying for peace. That is a new one to me (which really isn't saying much. There's lots of things that I don't know!), I'm going to try to find out more about that one! So glad for you, my friend. Merry Christmas a little early, I guess, lol.
@SorenCoins @kountryken Well they do straight grade chopped marked Trade Dollars, so why not my "Blood" quarter. Now the Washington Praying for peace was struck by the Intaglio Mint. It was part of a series they struck in 2022. https://christianheritagefellowship.com/george-washingtons-prayer-at-valley-forge
You have some beautiful items here. If I remember correctly the Daniel Carr 2009 ASE "proof" there were only 500 made, and initially Mike Mesak had all them. This was a long time ago, and I may not be correct. Also I think Mesak was selling them at $300.00 for each.
