Here’s an 1895-O Morgan Dollar. It filled another hole in my folder. It’s a bit rough but that’s okay. It was a low cost to me.
The nice thing above Morgan's is you can have some fun with a nice lower grade set for $40-$55 a coin for many dates.
Congratulations. Thats a tough one in any condition and it doesn't come up at auction very often. I had to settle for a bad rim ding on mine but I got it. Now if I could just find the S.
Nice filler coin. All of the 1895 and 1893 mints are brutal to get. Obviously, the 93s, and the 95 proof are the worst, but 1893-95 is a difficult period for finding affordable Morgans that look decent.
Keep looking and one day you’ll find the right one. I’ve been looking for one Peace Dollar, in a certain grade by a certain TPG for 7 years now. One day I’ll get it.
Nice coin and the important thing here is you like it. This coin in this condition sells on ebay for more than I thought it would. Definitely a keeper.
Given the initial quality of most 1895-O dollars, terrible, coins like this are a bargain. I’ve seen MS-61 graded pieces, that almost looked like a lump of coal, that were priced only a little under $10 k.
Nice 95-O Here are some of the tough ones mentioned above with an. ANACS photo certificate I sent in in 1980. I put these together around that time. Right click and open un a different window to see bigger pics.
I totally agree! I collect what I need to complete a set, or what I like to just have an example of. But, this is always controlled by the price. I'm not rich, but I'm blessed, and I really enjoy the coins I have been blessed to acquire!
I really like the ones you've posted. Just wondering, is your set complete? Either way, you've got something to be proud of!
