    Nice idea for a thread with some great posts already. Unfortunately the oldest US proof I have is a 1978 set with incredible frosting on the reverses

    This one is a bit special to me. It came from a special friend, many years ago. It was about as far back as I could afford when I was building my proof type set. I'm sad but just busted the set up for auction. It was time to pass it on.
