?

What would you do if you picked this roll of quarters up for under melt price?

  1. Flip it for a quick buck

    15.8%
  2. Search it for potential errors/toners

    55.3%
  3. Tuck it away and look at it again in 20 years?

    28.9%
  4. Troll vote (because why not?)

    21.1%

I'd crack it open and start cherry picking. If any looked like they had a shot at MS67, I'd send them in.

Otherwise, I'd flip the unsheathed quarters for a quick buck.

Thanks guys, unfortunately, I don't have the eye for anything beyond MS64, they all look the same to me :p

Go to varietyvista.com there's quite a few ddr and ddo for this date. :) all carry a premium :)
However after looking at the ends of the shotgun roll this roll has been gone through . It it was an original roll virgin so to speak those ends would be a lot tighter. But maybe the person who when though the coins missed something other there's some nice toned coins in there. Just my 2 cents

I would search the roll and just put it away if nothing special is found. A 67 would be special.

Paddy, based on the errors that bidiots are apt to buy these days, any "error coin" that was rolled before 2005 might go for more than its melt value.

Thanks, but I would need help identifying a 67. I am really tempted to just tuck it away. It is a bit loose so I would need to secure it better...

I purchased it with a bit of silver from someone looking to cash in.

There isn't a chance I could keep my hands off those coins. They'd be under the lens of my camera within minutes of arriving at my desk. :)

Haha, what would you be looking for, errors, toners, varieties, high grades, or all of the above?

Don't need the money, don't care about varieties or toners on those things (don't really care about washington quarters at all) So I'd just toss it over in the box in the corner with all the other duplicates and other stuff that has come along that I don't care about.

All the above. Anything. Whatever. I'm a pixel hunter, not an error guy; it just comes out looking that way. :D

Haha, I'm surprised you cared enough to even post :p Well some of us are a little more in the need of money or interest in variety. I appreciate your input. Setting it aside for a long time is very tempting. Almost as tempting as busting it open.
