Here’s a nice Printed Fold Error on a $1.00 bill. It’s dated 1985and signed by Ortega and Baker. The serial number is B06446429R. It’s graded by PMG as a Choice Very Fine 35. I think is a very nice looking error note.
Thank you, and that’s why I bought this note. Personally, I think the grade is a bit low but I’ll take and leave it as is.
I have no idea but I do pay attention to the notes and coins I handle. Most people do not I think. No, it spent time in cash registers but not a lot of it. I do think the 35 rating is a little low.
Wow! I've never seen a folded currency. Aren't they number while still attached to a larger sheet of paper? It's hard to believe that the currency wasn't cut when it was cut. What type of control do they have to avoid error sheets. It is cool to see the folded currency. Thanks for showing us your find.
You’re welcome sir. They are printed on sheets but somehow this note was folded and then printed. All sheets get 3 printings. Then they are cut and shipped out of the BEP. They have quality control but things just happen to fast and not everything can be seen or caught.
This is a very nice error note. I recently came into possession of it and I’m glad I did. Fold errors are on the tough side to find them.
I don't think it was circulated. I think the fold is from someone who found the note folded it in half and probably put it in their wallet for safe keeping (at least until they got home). This one was a purchase. I don't think it would make it through the banks counting machine.
