November 9th at 9:55 AM. Just got an email from the mint that my order has shipped (label created, actually). Set doesn't go on sale till 12 PM (Eastern). How's that for beating the clock?
Still available this evening. Not a good sign for the mint. Too many Morgan and Peace offerings now with more coming next year. Too many products competing with each other. Price is too high. Got my one set on subscription coming.
FWIW, it looks like they sold out some time today. I think the removed the household order limit. So they're all gone in about 24 hrs. Not bad I guess. Imagine we'll be seeing them on late night tv soon enough. I look forward to seeing mine.
Beautiful! Mine are listed as 'out for delivery' and I'm still waiting for the post man to arrive......my guy probably called in sick and they combined his load with another carriers route....my luck.
Got mine today, they look great and flawless. But, I'm really not sure I want to go further unless something different is done. If they continue as they are I probably will consider myself done. I have 2021 first year in the grade of 70 by PCGS, and the 2023 set is in OGP. My reasoning for doing it this way is for several reasons. The 2021 set was a very low mintage, and I had no Morgan Dollars in my collection. Due to this low mintage I did want to obtain them certified, and was fortunate enough to obtain them for an excellent price. Actually I have not ever seen a 70 set sell for less than mine. When I read the mintage numbers for 2023 it was definitely an increase, later they removed or changed the household limit, and the actual anniversary is over. I had already done a subscription for them with the mint, and only obtained those. I thought I read this somewhere that each year that at least the Morgan would at least have a different mint mark each year and apparently this is not so. If they do something different like do an enhanced version or something I will probably obtain those only for that year once. I do obtain ASEs bullions every year, but no proofs. But, I do collect the specialty ASEs that I like. Actually I "overbuy" the bullion coin to simply just to have a silver bullion supply. I'm about to stop that due to my safe deposit box container is getting too heavy. I just asked myself if I'm posting all this to see some opinions here from the other members. I know to each their own and I am the master of my collection, but I would appreciate some others opinions.
