Part of my late father's collection, I was passed down 34 of these sovereign pieces, mixed dates and mints. I almost had a heart attack when I discovered this one. The mint marks are extremely small and hard to discern, even at 5X magnification. I called a few US dealers and either from lack of knowledge or apathy for foreign coins, I got nowhere. I emailed a dealer in the UK and got a reply in less than 5 minutes, they wanted photos ASAP. Unfortunately, they identified this as a Perth mint rather than a no mint mark London piece. Only a difference of about $40,000.
I still haven't figured out this photo posting/size/clarity deal. I'm new, apologies! Even worse, I don't know where the flip side photo went. It's now in a bank vault. Sad Panda!
