The father of our country Some Charlotte gold…… One day.. One day… Yum. A gorgeous 21 Peace dollar (my personal Catcher In The Rye)….. This one came home with me. And my favorite….. Our very own @C-B-D !!!! Hi John!! Along with a host of other coins that have found a new home.
Looks like you had an enjoyable time there. Picked up some new additions for your collection as well. Thanks for sharing.
Glad ya had a good time, Randy. John's good people, but I think @charley is right about old George being too lead bottomish......he'd have never fit in the boat at Trenton.
Nice pick up on the Peace dollar. Let’s see the others! Looks to be a dandy steel cent in that pile, too.
Been working on filling out a better grade war era set. Nickels and cents. I found all the cents today. I am lacking one nickel now. And thanks to @johnmilton I seem to be developing a fascination with 19th century political tokens.
@Pickin and Grinin suggested that I add a war nickel error to my war era set. This isn’t an error. More of a variety I believe. But fit in nicely with my set and was based on Pickin’s suggestion.
The largest vendor had four tables. A very dapper looking gentleman with a very stoic looking woman sitting with her arms crossed behind him. I perused his offerings and asked where he was from and he was from my town. I asked him how I never heard of his shop? He says, I don’t have a shop. My wife told me it was time for me to sell my collection. I laughed my kazoo off. The stoic wife sitting behind him didn’t see what was so funny though….
Are you trying to out fo me Randy? Glad you had a great time and enjoyed the show. You got some beautiful coins.
@green18 I was just at Washingtons Crossing last week, and the boats are wide enough for his wide load. Although the boat may not have been able to cross the Delaware river.
