    Got this in pocket change today. Probably took a hit (on the mint mark) Reverse.jpg 4.jpg but kind of look like an RPM. What do you think: Lou Obverse.jpg

    It can't be, Lou, these marks were affixed on the dies then.

    Still, if you look at his photogs (which by the way are excellent) it does make one wonder.

    I know, but what these old eyes are seeing doesn't look like post mint damage. Weird in a sense. Maybe I'm weird.......ah, hell, we all know that. :)

    Die deterioration will simulate that. Look at the wrinkles, that die was shot. And if you’re weird, I hate to think what I am. :D

    It’s difficult to see but the D did take a hit. Mainly on the right side as it flattened a little. Great photos.
