Not an error,it was added during circulation time and pretty sure that's Jefferson.These colorized add-on's are quite popular but damages the coin,still a nickel.

That image looks like it may be William Clark, the second name on the reverse. Now if you can find Meriwether Lewis…

Didn't even think of that,thought it resembled young Jefferson.

 

I think Merrickmint does plenty of that stuff, along with other third party PMD companies.

 

I found Elvis on a quarter once. Lol

 

I think it was the one to the right.
