https://www.ebay.com/itm/186127945054 I even sent the seller a message explaining edge lettering and the fact that the mint didn't start using edge lettering on small dollars until 2009. They responded that their prices are based on closed auction prices. So here we are Last time I try to help...
Ebay could really do well to enlist the help of veteran numismatic sellers to figure out which auctions to knock out for being outright scams. Unfortunately they really don't care if there's a scam auction out there or not, just so long as their fees are paid.
If you want to see some serious markups, search for 1979 SBA dollars.. some are going for as cheap as 1200K!
That’s why this buggy ride works. What I can’t get is the 100% positive feedback. I mean all these happy buyers? That has to be rigged somehow, too.
I did look at them on ebay. I found it hard to believe the prices I saw, it was more than one seller at these prices. I saw prices $650.00 to $1200.00 to $2000.00.
Truth I think is eBay could stop this in a heartbeat but it doesn't care to. Its business model seems to be while the gravy is flowing it wants to be right there with its kisser under the faucet. And fraud is a difficult proof because it's not against the law to lie. You need intent, reliance, and damages. And I don't even think any of these chumps want to sue for damages because it's an admission they're chumps. And maybe that plays into the 100% positive feedback, as who wants to admit that online, even?
They know nothing, else there would be a notation of the truly rare...*gasp*.. NO MINTMARK!!!...*ungasp*
I tell you guys one thing. I might be on late night but it's the funniest time here with all this stuff going on.
I've got jars of these ... I finally found something to fully fund my retirement !! Headed to the Rolls Royce dealership now for a new ride ... with a couple jars of 1776-1976 quarters.
