many times i would wonder what the next coin I am looking to acquire. what set am I working on this month?? as time passes, I go from set to set filling in a slot or two buying this and that.. the latest purchase has been no different... so my question is what are your working on ? whats your next purchase ? what set your trying to build??
I'm working on a high quality (MS65-MS66) war nickel set. I am two pieces shy of completing the set and hope to plug those two holes at a coin show week after next.
Next purchase, a puzzle missing one puzzle piece. I should be able to post mint dime errors @ 100 yards How's that for coin related? Been finding some deals on other things and I think the coin/bullion collecting may be softening a bit? I'm holding off unless someone is looking to dump.
Bingo... contemplating matching lower manufacturer with the upper manufacturer to stay consistent. Guess that's part of the collection mindset.
A circulated 1895-S Barber Dime. They snd one other one all all I need to have a nice well circulated set. I like the “I worked for a living” look on Barber coins.
Sometimes I want something specific but for the most part I hardly ever know what I'm gonna get until I see it!
The next bright original shiny precious metal disk that I find. No rhyme or reason. I like what I like.
Agreed. I'm very much a browse around kinda person. When I see it, I'll know. But, my goal is to keep ticking off new German States from my list! I've added quite a few recently and am currently assembling a few more to send in for grading.
I am working on an 18th century to modern US type set (https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive-sets/419597/?page=1). The last attainable coin I need to semi-complete the set is nice no motto Liberty Seated quarter with drapery. Once I find one that I like I will consider the set complete as there are six coins that I will never be rich enough to afford: 1793 half cent, Chain Cent, half disme, 1796 quarter, 1796 half, and a Gobrecht dollar.
I have a list of items I would like to acquire. For most most of them I can’t go to the local coin store and buy them. Ditto for the Internet and major coin shows. I have to wait for the item to become available. I also have not get caught up in “auction fever” and overpay and regret it later. I can’t predict what might be available next.
These arrived in the mail today. Once in a while I like to purchase something just for fun and I had gotten a $100 tip from a client so I splurged:
