1801 is a great year for looking for that error (1/000) There were 5 different reverse dies made that way that year, and they were used on 6 different varieties (S-218, 219, 220, 221, 223 and NC-3). One of them was corrected with a 1 being punched in over the first 0 (S-221). One of them was reused in 1802 (S-228) and the die with the corrected fraction was reused in 1803 (S-249)

Thank you very much. I have learned so much from CT members. And, I just learned a lot more! Thanks again, Kenneth

1817 "Largie". Can anyone ID this particular coin? Got it Free from a fellow collector. Does it look "dug"?

I was looking for my double headed Washington but found this instead which sort of qualifies here. At least I think it will get some love here. Unity States
