Very clean bi centennial 25 cents strike is amazing no hits fields are very clean his ponytail is deep also the reverse has a gold tone the drum is so good looking at ngc for this one high grade

That's a handsome coin, it's a keeper, but that's about it.

 

The scratch on top of his head, and the rim ding at 10H, unfortunately draw your eyes to them each time you look. Otherwise a fine example to keep.

 

Eye-movement. That's what it's about.

 

800 million of them produced. Yours is very nice, but I would only invest the cost of a 2X2.

 

Just a quick question why when I look at the photos on the coin professionals websites I see worse looking coins in a high MS when I compare the coins and the one I'm showing you mine looks cleaner and nicer

Yours is a very nice example. But, I don't think I would invest much in it.

 

You need to learn how to grade to answer that one, Willy. I'd advise you submit it to a TPG and see what you get back but you're just going to go in the red for it, it's simply not worth it.

Google it, you’ll find them. ICG is one, ANACS. There are others, I’m sure.

 

I am currently assembling a very high grade war nickel set. MS65-MS66 pieces. I have nine of the eleven and most cost me $35.00. One of the coins was $65.00….. These are war nickels and are not nearly as common as your quarter and are far more collectible. That is a superb quarter to be certain and I too would keep it, but here’s the deal….. You will spend $50.00-$75.00 shipping that quarter off to be slabbed. And you will never be able to market the piece for better than five bucks or so, if that….. I get it. Finding a treasure is part of the allure of coin collecting. But if your excitement for the hobby exceeds your ability to be profitable, you will sour on a great hobby quickly….. Set this one aside and keep hunting.
