That is a picture of my best find ever...something like 300 ninety percenters...mostly walkers and Bens.

Cool real circ find, was at a local restaurant and got my change back and accicendently dropped a penny and when I looked down to pick it up I saw the one cent plastered in the middle. Turned out to be a '45.

Still waiting on my first '16 halves... Will tomorrow be the day?

I'm going through 36 rolls of CWR halves that I bought at a bank in western Nevada. I just found this one that has "Coin Roll Hunting?" written on the front. While it's kind of taunting, it's funny at the same time. I wonder if it was written by the individual who rolled up these halves? I've found numerous NIFC halves (which includes a small group of proofs that were found in the same roll) so far but no silver yet.

Anyone else found halves with a message like this before?

yup, lots. there is another guy who marks with and omega, and another who puts a number on his, not sure what the numbers mean but there are different numbers (maybe the number of the box that he has gone through?)
also I get a lot that have paint on them, some ugly light green and some a sort of mud pink.

Re: marking coins, my CRH etiquette is to take the coins you want and leave only fingerprints on the rest...

I just think it's disrespectful to mark coins you don't want...in the future they may be something someone else wants.

I got my first two boxes of halves on my trip today. Box 1 had nothing. I did find a nice uncerulated condition 1974 with a sharpee mark on it. So people do mark coins another person might want.

I can see both sides. For every BU marked clad coin, there's a million more the same or better. And it's helpful to know if you get your own stuff back.
With that said, I've never marked coins, not for me.
And the people who spray paint them are bad, it flakes off and guns up counting machines.

I think I'm getting the same coins that you are! I was really mad because one time I found a 2010 half but it had 897 written on the back

Marked coins just piss me off. If I caught someone doing that in my town, serious words would be spoken.

× 2 for the guys that stamp political claptrap on coins. Marking US currency is BREAKING THE LAW. Just stop it.
