As I understand it, the January FUN Show is worth going to. Lots of dealers thus more opportunities to find that piece you've been seeking for a while. The only "fly in the ointment" is the cost of getting there and expense of staying for a couple days. And it's too far for me to drive at my age.
Yeah, I'm not sure my driving ability has declined much, but my driving willingness has fallen off a cliff.
I can't do long road trips either. I just fly in and out and take a taxi to the hotel. If I drove it would take two days and a hotel bill along the way and have to pay parking for 4 or 5 days at the show. Once you get there, there is no reason to have a car.
I remember that. We could have took him if not for the wine. I remember a different trip when my bicycle guy almost ran into your bicycle guy. Fun times and that's what it's all about. I always look forward to your exhibit. It's always really special.
If you've ever watched Friday evening traffic on International Drive, you'd realize you're not far off.
Oh, I’ve dodged my share of cars on the drive before, despite being in the crosswalk when I did so. Yeah, Fridays are different. I was just enjoying the imagery . . .
That would have to be some really nasty construction, since I-10 passes about 120 miles north of Orlando.
If you have spare time in Orlando, go to Winter Park and check out the Morse Museum. https://morsemuseum.org/. They have the most complete collection of examples of the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany. It's a different kind of eye candy after being at FUN. The chapel from the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago will take your breath away.
