1943 cent error

    So I was looking through some old coin my uncle gave me to add to my collection and I found this 1943 s.
    What's your thoughts on the mint mark?

    I can see that the 4 has the same thpe of doubling as the mint mark. That leads me to conclude MD.

    Upon closer inspection it looks like machine doubling.
