1937 Mercury Dime struck with penny back Help!

I just found this 1937 mercury dime struck with one cent back. Anyone know anything about it or any value??

It is a error coin. If I can see the photos, can say exactly what it is.

 

It's a hollowed out dime with a trimmed down wheat cent inserted. A kind of Magician's coin.

 

Value.. 11 Cents

 

The other way around, most likely, since cents are larger in diameter than dimes. It's odd, though, that the photos don't show the cent rim around the dime obverse.

 

I don't think this one is hollowed. The Cent was trimmed down and the Obverse grinded down.. Then the Dime's Reverse was grinded down and both halves connected together.

 

Can you take a pic of the edge,
Maybe close ups of the rim, each side.

It's just 2 coins with the other sides grinded down.. I have seen about half a dozen of these over the years. ..

I see the reeding on the dime. So it could be a sandwich of both halves. I know the cent was not hollowed out to accommodate the dime.

 

After looking at the super sized images of the obverse of the dime, I think you are correct.

 

We haven't seen a picture of the edge yet. Could they be pictures of two separate coins?

 

My guess is that because Stingray just joined today and this is his only post, we won't be seeing a picture of the edge.
