I just found this 1937 mercury dime struck with one cent back. Anyone know anything about it or any value??
The other way around, most likely, since cents are larger in diameter than dimes. It's odd, though, that the photos don't show the cent rim around the dime obverse.
I don't think this one is hollowed. The Cent was trimmed down and the Obverse grinded down.. Then the Dime's Reverse was grinded down and both halves connected together.
It's just 2 coins with the other sides grinded down.. I have seen about half a dozen of these over the years. .. Not an error
I see the reeding on the dime. So it could be a sandwich of both halves. I know the cent was not hollowed out to accommodate the dime.
My guess is that because Stingray just joined today and this is his only post, we won't be seeing a picture of the edge. I'm calling troll.
Sorry for the delay everyone, still going through other coins as well with my brother from my grandfather
Still pretty odd. Kind of wish it was just the dime now. Was really hoping for the error. I'm going through about 50-60 1964 Kennedy's now
