Plz can u help me to know any information about this 1974 s penny error ? When i flipped it to other faces the face The back side is upside down its norma?
If it looks like that when it's flipped vertically it's a rotation error and commanding of a little premium.
It is a 47 S and it has an indirect transfer or ghost as they are called. Look it up and learn about a fun variation.
Very nice as it has what’s known as “ghosting”. Obviously coin rotated 180* do it’s a mint error and that much of a rotation will command a small premium. Nice find.
Where do you get the rotation? The indirect transfer is always upside down. Here is a 47 S from my collection.
The ghosting is correct. Yours has Lincoln’s head in the 6:00 o’clock position but the OP’s coin has his head in the 12:00 o’clock position. On both coins the top of Lincoln’s head is at the bottom of the wheat stalks. Only a reverse rotation of 180* can cause that.
