Hello everyone, I believe this is my first thread for FOG, FIC and FIM for this year. FOG - Found On Ground FIC - Found In Coinstar FIM - Found In Meter This morning heading to work I found me $2.00 in Quarters in a Parking Meter FIM finds - And I just got back from the cashier and their CoinStar had 4 Euro Coins, 15 Cents and an old MTA Subway Token. FIC finds - So I need Identification for these 3 EURO coins I know the other is ESPAÑA (Spain).. Thanks
The top right Euro is RF (Republique Francaise) - France. I think the others are Austria. I may be wrong.
You sure do find a lot of foreign coins up there, Paddy.... Is it because you have a lot of tourism up there?
How does one feed a parking meter and not know coins are just dropping through, or doesn't it work that way?
From what I've seen the person inserts the quarters and the meter machine malfunctions. After a few minutes the coins get released into the coin return slot.. Way after the person leaves
This evening I left work to meet up with my daughter to see the movie Super Mario Bros. I checked another meter before reaching the movie theater and found 2 more quarters!
I remember when a quarter was enough money that you'd keep an eye on it as you fed it to a meter. The quarter of 2023 is the penny of 1973. People just can't be bothered.
