Thinking of moving some of my copper (Lincoln cents mostly) into airtites. I prefer the airtites with the foam ring to the direct fit. What do you think...white or black? Coins are a mixture of Red, RB, and Brown. I'm thinking black but I don't know for sure.

Got to be one in every group.
    He was leaning towards black.
    I'll second white
    Black for silver/gold
    Red for select silver bullion

I would be more concerned about the foam ring. Many if not most are manufactured in China. Check the chemical ingredients if possible. IMO, Jim

I have never had any issue with the airtite brand stuff.

I like white for copper and bronze, black for silver and gold.

Black would hide the copper so go with white. Black should be used in silver coins and with Cents, it should only be used on the 1943 ones.

Just go with what you like best because all of us have different tastes.
Although black rings have the best look for gold, silver or copper and that's a fact.

I bought in heavily to Air-Tites with black rings for all of my raw coins. Love Air-Tites in general, but I disliked the look of copper/bronze coins in black rings from the get-go, and in time came to feel the same way about silver and Cu-Ni coins as well. There’s just something about the black rings that seems to suck all of the light out of the coin. So at some expense I switched the entire raw collection over to white rings and am very happy with the results.

I like to image everything on a dark background but use the white rings for copper and black with silver. The contrast makes the coin stand out, in my opinion.

Hmm...the consensus seems to be that white is the way to go. Good thing I asked. :)
