Hi all. I'm trying to attribute this Indian Cent. I'm leaning towards Variety 4, but any help would be appreciated. TIA 20230907_131100.jpg 20230907_131114.jpg 20230907_131521.jpg 20230907_131416.jpg

How would you know the Reverse is rotated? Maybe it was the Obverse die o_O

Repunched date. Rick Snow list it as the S-3.

Do you know if Snow references this rotation on the coins? I'm wondering whether this error is unique to this die pairing.

Rick has it at 120 degree rotation on some. That makes me think that some did not have the rotation.

Just a note that 1864 was one of the most common dates for significant rotated dies (rotated dies from 90 to 180 degrees). If you search for rotated dies on Indian Head cents, about 50% of them are from 1864.

Is that just the CuNi ones of that year? This is one of those, of course.
