    It’s fairly nice looking for a zinc cent that’s 34 years old. Any doubling you see is not a doubled die but it is the result of a tired, worn out die.

    I see die deterioration doubling on the date/MM. Also, I see "split plate doubling on the reverse.

  12. Thank you, I checked the link you sent and learned a little more. I have studied the different types of doubling but still have trouble knowing the difference. I will keep working on it. With everyone's help I may get it someday.

    Understanding is one thing and can be accomplished by training, studying and making mistakes. Finding a true doubled die in circulation is more difficult.
