So you're saying if I ever want something to "rainbow up" my Libertads, I might want to consider them? Thanks for the tip.
Definatly! Here's some coins pulled from a littelton type set album I inherited put together in the early 2000s. Depending on storage condition I guess the littelton albums are primed to impart nice color...
Your bottom two pictures remind me - Sacs do tone up in some uniquely beautiful ways. Never anything like it before in US coins. I very carefully put away some January 2000 WalMart change Sacs, and they've turned gorgeous. I also have a 79-S SBA with color that's difficult to describe. Stunning. Kinda looks like palladium.
Huh? Littleton Coin is in Littleton NH. Littleton CO is famous for high schoolers shooting their classmates. That may be where the money originally came from, but there is no one putting a gun to their heads making the company spend the money on the sponsorships. Don't many companies? (Including the TPG's) The entire free market system is pretty much Cavet Emptor and the more you know the better you can deal. Want to make sure you don't get ripped off. get yourself educated and don't just trust others to look out for you. Because they don't handle the material I collect. If they did I would consider it even though I left them in the past.
I think it's entirely fine for the Wednesday Sundman Lecture Series Luncheon to include a Legacy Interview of Sundman himself. In fact, I think it's cute as heck. The Forman award going to Sundman doesn't bother me at all, because it often goes to a jerk for one reason or another. It's like a pattern, at least in even-numbered years lately. Also be aware that the ANA doesn't repeat awards, so they need to find a new recipient every year. There's not that many superb dealers around who haven't won the Forman in past years, I'm guessing. I bet the true icons of the field all have one. If Charmy Harker doesn't have one, I'm nominating her next year. It'll be an odd-numbered year when deserving people get it, and it'll be in Denver where half the attendees will be high on legal cannabis anyway, right?
What you say still doesn't change the fact that this company exists by overcharging people. I sell on ebay and would never overcharge like them. But that's just me. As far as Littleton not having your material, that's a lie and you know it. You wouldn't buy coins from them because you can get them for fair prices elsewhere. I bet you've never recommended their craptastic coins on approval program to any family members or friends
No it is true, I've never known them to have a 1796 S-96, 1802 S-217 or 1803 S-265. I've also never seen them with Conder tokens. Especially the tougher ones I need. If they did, then yes I would consider buying from them. Because I can't get them elsewhere. No I haven't and I wouldn't, because you can get coins for better prices elsewhere. I don't dispute that. But I don't condemn them for asking more. You can ASK whatever prices you want for your items. No one forces anyone to buy from them. If you don't know what you are buying is it your fault, or the sellers?
Any company gets to charge what they wish. That's just the way the world works. They don't sell problem coins and do good things for the hobby. I'm happy the guy got the reward.
