As title states, I came across this listing and my blood is boiling, but maybe I am overreacting? I think the fact that it doesn't have the copy stamp makes it illegal to sell.

Yes,this is against ebay policy and greedy selfishness on the sellers part, the fact the seller knows it's counterfeit, reported.

It is illegal under the federal Hobby Protection Act without COPY. Ebay prohibits all fake and replica coins regardless of whether they are marked COPY.

I reported it as well. He can say what he wants, but as mentioned it is against eBay policy. The bigger threat is the reseller...

Wish there was a easily found, searchable master list of known bad sellers. I know many will have their accounts 86'ed after a while but there are many others that seem to keep on like the Energizer bunny.

    Seller is
    marvijacob-8
for future reference. I contacted them and we'll see how they respond. Knowingly posting a "sample" coin gets them a black mark regardless. Clearly they know it's fake.

I have seen fake coins listed for 2 or 3 dollars on Temu.com selling for $13 or so on eBay. No "copy" mark. Some of these could not fool a blind person, but others are quite good "replicas".
