    Either way it's really cool looking. BackgroundEraser_20230823_132101697.jpg IMG_20230823_132025008.jpg IMG_20230823_132025008.jpg

Shame someone polished those high spots as it’s a nice coin. Still, it’s neat looking.

PMD- Lincoln got scuffed. Still kinda neat looking.

I posit it had tape pieces or adhesive residue covering an already well-worn coin. When the debris is removed/washed off you have the result you see.

On purpose, I would use a dental grinder head followed by a dental ceramic tip.

Thanks guys! I figured it was post mint but it looks so cool and clean, in person that it didn't look like it could be circulated. Oh well. I'm going to still hold onto it for now

You can see the rims are worn like the obverse face, so it was most likely press against something rotating such as in a dryer drum ( common) to someone with a need for a rotating pivot point. I once saw a pair of dancing shoes in a used stuff store that had a couple of coins glued to the bottom of each for tap dancing I guess.

I’m with Jim; washer or dryer drum.
