1998 Quarter Die Crack/Possible Cud

Found a 1998 quarter with a decent die crack on the reverse. Possible start of a cud, I think

The crack seems to go rim to rim, so unless the die was retired before the piece fell out, almost certain to eventually result in a cud. Known generally as a pre cud.

 

Cant really tell from the picture, but there might be a planchet defect at the "N".
