Pretty bullion IMO. I've been known to buy bullion in different designs just to keep it entertaining (my coin collecting started off as bullion buying and morphed considerably) and the Libertads are high on the pretty list.

I would not slab it as it is bullion UNLESS you happened to be entertaining yourself with a registry set, which is perfectly fine. However, if nothing else, it appears your coin has enough hits on the 'high point' to keep it out of the 67-69 slab. It seems unlikely to be worth it in the monetary sense alone.

I'll give you two reasons to slab a coin other than to increase its value. One is that the slabs are good for long-term storage. Another is that it's a good idea to have all your coins in tpg slabs for your heirs. If the coins have a certified grade attached to them, it's less likely that whoever your heirs take them to will tell the heirs that they're in lousy condition and worth much less than they think they're worth. As an example, if your 1909-S VDB is in a PCGS holder with a grade of XF40, it's unlikely that a dealer will say that it's really just a VG or F and worth a lot less than an XF40. If the coin is raw, then some dealers will automatically downgrade it to get it at a better price. Sad but true.

Already done--41mm airtight from my local coin store fits perfectly. I do not intend to sell it, and the likelihood of it being MS69 where it would have some financial advantage isn't great; makes more sense to capsule it, and not grade it.

It would grade at 68 in my opinion. There are no hits on the high points--picture was taken through a flip. I am fairly new to Libertads, but I know how to grade a coin--it is in the 67-68 range maximum.
