Stopped to dump some dime rolls at BOA. They don’t usually have much to search but I asked about nickels. They had $380 so I took $200. Never find that much very often. Included was some 2004,2005,2006 rolls.
Wow, nice roll group! Did you ask for just the Westward Journey nickels? Or did they hand over whatever nickel rolls that were available at hand?
Wow such beautifully wrapped treasure! Meow could only hope to get paws on the like at the bank one day.
Pardon my error - 2004-P 5C DDO FS-101 Peace Medal (Regular Strike) Jefferson Nickel - PCGS CoinFacts. I distracted myself with the first photo. There are multiple stages that can be snagged from the wild. I have Stages B, C, and D from the wild...but never found the A when I CRHed. It's an easier one to spot and with virgin rolls, the opportunity to find a mint state specimen should make it even easier if Heavy was lucky enough to get them in the mix.
Some years back I helped a friend liquidate his late fathers collection. The man had rolls and rolls and rolls of coins. I bet he had a hundred rolls of the westward journey quarters that he had handwritten on each roll "New Buffaloes"...
LoL. New Buffaloes. That's funny. Did you know that you can spell it Buffalos as well? Not to make you all mad but I cashed in 6 rolls of these 2004 Nickels for something else even though I do like the pattern some.
Alas, my 2004 roll is Denver Keelboat The enders are getting a slight blue toning Maybe I’ll open them and look for high grade examples
It's my understanding that a 2004-P Keelboat coin is fairly valuable, correct? I have found two in good condition so far in one of my nickel piles. There's some chatter that the Ocean View design could potentially be valuable as well. Not sure if this is accurate or not.
