1874 $3 Indian guess the grade win a prize

    Heres a pretty unique coin being kind of an odd ball denomination thought I would post the one next, can you guess the grade ?

    Here's my XF40 1854 by way of comparison.

    I think that one above has high VF details but is possibly ex-jewelry.

    Eh, maybe not. I'm not sure on the jewelry thing. Maybe.

    45 what? Colt, caliber, degrees. What is it. :p:smuggrin:

    Possible EF sharpness, details for damage? I see a bulge above “DOLLARS” on the reverse and a possible indent below Ms. liberty’s chin on the obverse.

    I was really shocked, like most of you my guess would have been XF in that range
    but believe it or not this coin is A/U 53, lots of small scratches and a couple of dings
    but having decent luster saved this coin, since no one won will post some more coins :)

    Practice makes perfect, after awhile you will learn what to look for, just posted
    another, a good rule of thumb MS grades exhibit allot of luster can even have
    some nicks, the A/U grade on this one is a good example.
