I have many pre 30's wheat cents and was wondering if they are worth anything. I had been told pre 30's are worth a bit more than the others so now I have a lot of pre 30's . Thinking of selling them ,just want to make sure it would be worth my time. Any thoughts?
Totally depends on the date, mintmark, and condition... Do you have a list? Common date coins like the Philadelphia cents from 1916-1920, and 1923-1929 probably aren't worth your time unless they are higher grade (VF or better) or you're selling them in bulk... most other dates may be, though.
I have several, ill go through and pick out the D,S ?I know they are loose , but I still only touch them by the rim ... Not with me hands
Totally depends on the date and MM, and what the toning looks like... toning sometimes looks good on coins, and other times looks awful...
Yeah, pick out the pre-1916 coins, the 1921 dated coins, the mintmarked coins, and the ones with full lines in the wheat ears. That should about cover it.
Ok I have 3x 1910 , 1x1913 ,2x1914,1x1915 d , 1x1916,5x1917,1x1917 d,1x1917 s,2x1918,1x1918 d, 5x1919,3x1919 s,4x1920,2x1920 d,2x1921,2x1923, 1x1924,3x1925,1x1925 s,3x1926,2x1927,1x1927 d/s,2x1928,2x1929,2x1929 s,4x1930,1x1930 d....not as many as I thought.
Hello, you can get a good idea on what they are going for by looking at the completed listings on ebay.
You have a few decent ones... the 15-D is probably your best coin from the batch, depending on the condition...
I agree with john77, 15d is probably the prize coin, a general rule of thumb tends to be 1910s with a mint mark, as well as depression era 31-33 with a mint mark are hardest to come by
Looks like it's just well worn, and nicked up... From the obverse, I would grade it an AG-3. Worth about $1 or so, though the 3 o'clock rim ding might make it worth even less than that.
Would you consider selling all of them, I love wheats, I have some but I love finding, metal detecting, pocket change etc. Name a price, I honestly don't know how much they're all worth but what the heck, I dont know how many; what you showed is around 60 but I'm sure you have more, name a price, then I'd have some more.
I can go through them and see what I can come up with. I have many of them , 10,20,30,40,50. I've had them for years now . Some are very nice. Unc. I have about 60 really nice toned wheats. I will see what I have in a little while and let you know.maybe we can work something out
They are all duplicates, I have a set already, missing about 6 wheats 1909-2016 p,d,s , I just saved the nicest duplicates that I had and sold the rest. So not really attached to these. Well maybe the book of toned ones hehe a little bit
All pre 1930 Lincolns have value. There is someone somewhere wanting it for his collection. The value may be low depending upon the condition of course.
